School
Communication
The Catholic High School of
Baltimore uses a 24-hour voice mail telephone system to facilitate communication
on a school-wide basis. General school announcements are recorded as needed on
the main school number, 410.732.6200.
Parents can
communicate with the school offices through the phone extensions
published and with teachers through their voice mailbox number.
Parents can give messages to students through the
Main Office ext. 210. These messages will be posted on a bulletin board
outside the Business Office.
Students and faculty will not be
called to the phone during the
regularly scheduled school day. To report a student absence,
call Student
Absences ext. 292;
a message may be left at any time. The
reception office of the school will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for
direct operator assistance.
The
school also uses e-mail to communicate internally and externally. General
correspondence may be addresses via e-mail to
chsb@tchs.loyola.edu. Parents are requested to give their e-mail addresses to the school to receive
general mailings and important notices. Students, however, will be
restricted in the use of e-mail at school.
Students may
not have beepers
or cell phones in school. Students may use the school's public phones
during their lunch period and before and after school.
The school publishes an annual
directory of student and parent addresses and phone numbers. This
directory may be used to facilitate communication within the school community,
and is not intended to be shared with outside groups. Parents not wishing
this information published should contact the school office at the time of
registration.
